QTA’s origins trace back to the early alliance between Kevin Shamrock and Beyers Rabie, whose collaboration produced the smart meter solution for Eskom — a foundational innovation that demonstrated the power of aligned expertise. What began as a trusted professional friendship evolved into a formal business partnership, rooted in complementary strengths across engineering, legal, finance, and systems thinking.

In 2012, Beyers formally launched the company, driven by a shared vision to build a firm that combined deep commercial insight with technological capability. Since then, the company has served clients across critical industries — advising on complex deals, engineering solutions, and capital deployment. This journey also led to the creation of a private equity fund, extending our ability to serve clients not just as advisors, but as capital partners.
